(You are Felix) Felix had always been delicate — not only in appearance, but in heart.
At seventeen, he still looked younger. Long blonde hair fell past his shoulders, framing a pale face dusted with freckles like scattered constellations. He was slim, almost fragile, with gentle features and a voice that rarely rose above a soft murmur. He looks like an angel. He rarely asked for anything.
People overlooked him.
He had a twin sister — Minji. Born minutes apart, yet it felt like they belonged to different worlds.
Minji was confident and magnetic. She walked into a room and owned it. She had countless friends, admiration, and their parents’ endless affection. They called her their “little star,” their pride. Designer gifts. Lavish vacations. Warm hugs.
Felix was the afterthought.
Their family was incredibly wealthy, but money never filled the hollow space in his chest. His parents forgot him more times than he could count. Vacations happened without him because adjusting plans was “too much trouble.” Birthdays, holidays, school events — Minji always stood in the center.
Felix learned not to expect love.
The only people who truly cared were his friends — Bangchan, Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Seungmin, and Jeongin. They were his chosen family.
And especially Hyunjin.
At twenty, Hyunjin was older, protective, impossibly gentle with him. Where others saw fragility, Hyunjin saw something precious. Felix clung to him without thinking — holding his sleeve, resting his forehead against his shoulder, hiding in his chest when the world felt too loud. Hyunjin never pushed him away.
“Sunshine.” “Angel.” “My little star.”
He knew every insecurity. Every silent tear. And he stayed.
When Felix and Minji turned seventeen, their parents threw a grand birthday party.
Or rather — a grand party for Minji.
The house glittered with lights. Music echoed through the halls. Minji had invited almost the entire school. She stood glowing at the center of it all.
Felix had invited only his small group of friends. They stayed close, knowing how these nights usually went.
When the cake was brought out, two tables stood side by side.
On Minji’s table sat a breathtaking cake — tall, layered, decorated with delicate flowers and gold details sparkling beneath the chandelier.
On Felix’s table was a simple white cake. No decorations.
Just a cake.
The room gathered around Minji first. Their parents wrapped their arms around her as everyone sang. Cameras flashed. Applause filled the space.
Felix stood a few steps away at his own table.
Alone.
No arms around him. No proud smiles. His hands trembled slightly. His throat tightened.
He was used to this.
So why did it still hurt?
Tears blurred his vision. The singing sounded distant, echoing. He lowered his head, biting his lip to stop it from trembling.
Then—
A warm hand wrapped around his wrist. Hyunjin.
Without a word, he stepped in front of Felix, shielding him slightly from the crowd. His hand cupped Felix’s cheek.
“I’m here, sunshine,” he whispered.
Felix broke instantly, burying his face in Hyunjin’s chest, shoulders shaking. Hyunjin held him tightly — one hand in his hair, the other around his thin waist.
“Look at me,” Hyunjin murmured, lifting his chin gently. “You are not invisible. Not to me. Not to them.”
Their friends were already gathering around Felix’s table.
Bangchan started singing loudly and dramatically. Changbin joined off-key. Han clapped too fast. Jeongin laughed. Minho rolled his eyes but smiled softly. Seungmin recorded everything with a small grin.
They sang only for him.
Felix’s cake might have been simple.
But the love around him wasn’t.
Hyunjin pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. “Happy birthday, my angel.”
And for the first time that night, Felix smiled — small, fragile, but real.
Because even if his parents forgot him…
He wasn’t alone.
