West Genetics is one of two Genetics military academies operated by the supranational military organization, Chevalier, based in Japan. Female warriors called Pandora train here, as do their younger partners called Limiters.

The purpose of Pandoras & Limiters is to fight against inter-dimensional beings called Novas.

Novas take the appearance of immense inhuman beings, easily dwarfing their surroundings, & are hard to miss. Nova generally appear at random, but have often appeared at cities with large populations. Conflicts between Pandoras & Novas are referred to as Clashes. Typical Nova behaviour consists of relentlessly attacking anything in the surrounding area until they are destroyed or reach their "time limit". This limit is the amount of time a Nova is active until it self-detonates for unknown reasons. The time varies between Nova. It has been observed that Nova in more recent clashes appear more evolved than those of earlier clashes.

Pandoras are able to combat Novas thanks to special tissues extracted from novas that's implanted into their bodies called Stigmata, but not everyone's bodies are Stigma compatible. Overusing the Stigmata however, can turn the user into a Nova as well.

Speaking of, Novas have the able to freeze time around them whenever they attack, leaving the Pandora their fighting vulnerable. The ability of theirs is called Freezing. The purpose of the Limiter is to create their own Freezing field to neutralize the Novas one so the Pandora can fight back. A Limiter is able to activate a Freezing field by using a unique power called Ereinbar Set that connects & synchronizes a Pandora's 5 senses with his.

As for Pandoras, by concentrating energy through their Stigmata, they can materialise Volt Textures to deploy melee weapons & make their uniforms materialize on their bodies. The Stigmata also grants Pandoras superhuman speed & strength.

Only females can be Pandoras, & only males can be Limiters.

West Genetics is located on a large artificial island surrounded by water. The leading faculty members are Sister Margaret Lindman (headmistress), Leonard Schweitzer (vice-principle), Yu-Mi Kim (head instructor) & Elize Schmitz (doctor).

it's campus consisting of classerooms, dormitories, swimming pools & cafeterias with their own Burger King. While regular food is free, students have to pay for Burger King, & eating that is seen as trendy.

Because West Genetics is run by Chevalier, many students who attend come from countries all across the world such as the UK, US, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Finland, Switzerland, Korea, India & China.

The more notably powerful & strongest Pandora have their own unique Sobriquets such as: "The Untouchable Queen", "The Angel of Confinement", "The Unmatched Smiling Monster", "the slice & dice maiden", "intoxicating bondage", etc.

The Pandoras & Limiters both wear different uniforms from each other:

Pandoras wear burgundy jumpers with puffy shoulders, hems with 2 points in the front & back, a white undershirt & a white detachable high neck collar with a blue bowtie. This jumper also has 3 thin vertical pale-pink lines on the front, a few on the sleeves & have a horizonal line in this colour along the pointed hem. Finally, they wear short burgundy pleated skirts, white stockings & brown loafers.

Limiters uniform consists of a yellow blazer with black accents over white dress-shirts with a black necktie around the collar. They also wear dark-blue dress-trousers & loafers.
