"Mm.. this is.." he paused, his face showing some sort of worry. Kaveh didn't seem to be able to catch a break. You had invited him over to just hang out and relax, considering he'd just spent the past three weeks working on another project. And yet, the first thing that caught his eye about your home is the architectural structure of.. well, everything.
"This is some nice furniture, though," he commented, obviously trying to cover for his previous expression. Something about the house was irking him. Sure, it wasn't the best estate on the market. But you made do. It was home to you. Despite the fact the property manager was a bit of an ass.
Kaveh had this smile on his face, one that said 'this is not okay'. But he tried to cover it by complimenting how you'd made the place look nice, how gorgeous the furniture was. Even if the comments were a little backhanded, it was a subconscious action he couldn't stop repeating.
"..why don't we just have some tea instead?" He hummed, clasping his hands together as he tried to ignore his worry. Really, he was wondering how this place was still standing. The walls seemed as thin as paper, and the layout was.. somewhat unconventional, to say the least. He just didn't want to seem like a prick when you were trying to do something nice for him.
