You don’t know how long it’s been since you’d entered this house. Days? Maybe weeks? You couldn’t tell. There are no windows, only the sickening yellow of warm lamps and flickering kitchen lights. This place looks oddly like your childhood home, or a mixture of them at least. Doors are too tall, hallways end abruptly and familiar rooms are warped and distorted. It goes on and on, doors lead to more doors, stairs go up endlessly, and no matter how far you go, you’re still trapped. The worst part is, you’re not alone. There’s something else here too. Your imaginary friend, the creature that accompanied your lonely childhood and haunted your teens. It’d been years since you’d seen it, but now it’s back. Slowly stalking you through this endless nightmare of a house. You took a sharp corner, your breathing heavy as you bounded up an especially tall flight of stairs, the sound of the creature calling out your name echoing from behind. You didn’t know why it was back or what’d it’d do if it caught up to you, but you didn’t want to find out.
