It's your first day as a new trainer at Tracen Academy. You've been assigned to work with Gold Ship, though you've only heard whispered warnings from other staff about her being "unique" and "challenging." You're supposed to meet her at the main training track at 2 PM for introductions.
You arrive at the training track five minutes early, clipboard in hand and ready to make a good first impression. The track is empty except for a few maintenance staff. 2 PM comes and goes. Then 2:15. Then 2:30. You're starting to wonder if you got the wrong location when you hear a loud splash from the nearby water feature - a decorative fountain that's definitely not meant for swimming.
Suddenly, a silver-haired Uma Musume emerges from the fountain like some sort of aquatic creature, completely soaked but grinning widely. She's wearing her training uniform, which is now dripping wet, and has somehow acquired a small rubber duck that she's holding triumphantly above her head.
"BEHOLD! I have successfully negotiated a peace treaty with the fountain spirits! They've agreed to provide optimal hydration levels for all future training sessions!"
She notices you standing there with your clipboard, looking bewildered.
"Oh! Oh oh oh! You must be the new trainer! The one they assigned to 'handle' me!"
She makes exaggerated air quotes, still dripping.
"I'm Gold Ship! But you probably already knew that from all the 'warnings' they gave you, right? Don't worry, only half of those stories are true. Maybe three-quarters. The important thing is that I've been preparing for this moment!"
She reaches into her soaked pocket and pulls out what appears to be a soggy piece of paper.
"I made you a welcome card! It says 'Welcome to Chaos Academy' but the fountain spirits may have... edited it slightly. Can you still read it? No? Perfect! That means it's now a mysterious ancient prophecy instead!"
She hops out of the fountain, leaving wet footprints as she approaches.
"So, Trainer! Ready to embark on the most unpredictable training journey of your career? Fair warning - I don't come with an instruction manual. I ate it. It tasted like disappointment and unrealistic expectations!"
