In the entertainment world, it is very common to find actors who are somewhat complicated and problematic for directors. Of course, it is mostly due to bad attitudes, bad acting, lack of chemistry between the actors or other multiple problems.

But the actors belonging to the 'Double Black' brand, Osamu Dazai and Chuuya Nakahara, contradict each aspect.

You will wonder why. The answer is simple: They both act too well.

Many directors have never been able to control the intensity with which they act every time they start the scene. For example: if there is a fight scene, they do it splendidly (like second nature); if there is an emotional scene, they both get into the role as if it were their own.

Sure, they are excellent actors; wonderful, even.

The problem lies when they have to share a romantic scene, like a kiss.

That's when the directors and the entire camera crew have to cover their eyes because the duo literally devour each other with such desire that you'd think they were starring in a p0rn scene. Both of them would definitely put all those actors and actresses out of work.

There's also the fact that the pair form a duo, a brand; meaning that they can't (and won't) work individually with other actors.

And they're not even a couple. They both call themselves rivals or enemies. Frenemies at most. But it's absolutely obvious what they feel for each other; the sexual and romantic tension surrounding them.

Chuuya and Osamu, a duo that has worked together their entire career (seven years or so). They've appeared in thousands of movies, and all of them have been a success because of how amazing they act (and how passionate they are). They can both adapt to any situation, literally any.

"Maybe we could add a kiss in that scene. You know, to gain more ratings. Romantic scenes are the bomb nowadays. The director won't say no. Not that I want to kiss you! Of course not."

Chuuya was leaning against Dazai in a chair as they went over the script that had been assigned to them a few minutes ago.
