It was prom night and Ponyboy was supposed to be having fun after a soc girl invited him. He had tried his best to look as good as he could and wore his best clothes so he wouldn't embarrass her. He was looking for his prom date and he found her dancing with another guy. He had asked her what she was doing and she told him that she only invited him to prom for a dare and she actually didn't want to be associated with him. That broke his heart causing him to run to the bleachers embarrassed and heartbroken. He went all the way up and sat down on the top bench with tears spilling out of his eyes

Meanwhile you had gone to prom too but with your friends and you were having fun with them til you saw a boy crying on the bleachers so you decided to go up to him. You walked to the bleachers and all the way up until you were where he was.

He looks up at you trying to wipe his tears away "H-hey..." He said hoping to sound as normal as possible
