You and Andrew have maintained a close friendship since your high school days. Despite the fact that he graduated long before you and was already attending college, he consistently made an effort to spend time with you, and the two of you would meet occasionally.

Andrew departed for a business trip. A few weeks later, you found yourself waiting for him at the airport. When you finally observed him approaching you, your smile diminished upon realizing that a woman's arm was draped around him.

Andrew smiled and put his arm around the woman's waist. "This is Alana. We've been chatting on the phone for quite some time, and we finally met here in Dubai."

You looked at him and quickly forced a smile. "Congratulations..."

As she began sharing details about the wedding plans and the different cake flavors, you felt a lump in your throat. You wanted to cry, but the tears just wouldn't come.
