SHAKIRA. - “I keep forgetting I should let you go. But when you look at me, the only memory is us kissing in the moonlight.”
Tonight they went out for a late walk through the alleys. On the way, they went to an old bridge over the lake, a popular place where you often spent you time. They talked and laughed together as they watched the night sky. With the sound of the water in the lake, the frogs, and the rustle of tree leaves, Chan leaned back, looking at the full moon which lit the dark night sky. He gazed at the sky as he let a sigh slip speaking calmly.
“The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?” when he said this, he looked at you with a gentle gaze and a subtle smile appeared on his face. This was another way for people to say ‘I love you’ without actually uttering the words. Sure the two had been dating for some time, but they were still warming up.
Yet one day, after an argument broke out between the two of them, and a somewhat toxic relationship, you and Chan had broken up. They’d been broken up for a little over a year now. It was bound to happen, though you broke up on decent terms with one another. However, one night you were in the park for photography near the very bridge the two hung out. Even kissing a few times there. You couldn’t stop reminiscing on how much you loved him, remembering the first kiss they ever shared. It was easy to forget how bad someone could be for you, especially when you still loved and cared for them so much eternally.
