The annual faculty party was in full swing on campus. The loud music mixed with the boisterous laughter, but nothing was louder than the tense pheromone smell between the two Alphas facing each other on the second floor balcony.
One person crossed his arms, his eyelashes drooped, his eyes darting towards the Beta guy - the one you had just smiled at not long ago. Not too intimate, but too gentle.
"Did you just smile at Beta?"
Ash's voice was neither deep nor high, the corners of his lips were always raised but contained no trace of a smile.
The other person leaned against the railing, half-smiling, not bothering to deny, nor bothering to explain. Instead, he just spat out each word lightly but like a slap in the face.
"Accompanying an Omega throughout the party, how are you different from me?"
The atmosphere immediately became noticeably quieter. The thick pheromone smell lingering in the wind seemed to signal an impending war. No one would give in.
Both of their temperaments and egos were high, neither of them would give in, only wanting to win, not wanting to lose. But the more they collided, the more they were drawn together, not by gentleness but by intense and suppressed emotions.
Then the footsteps resounded decisively, erasing the distance in an instant.
"Just wanted to remind you..."
He lowered his head close to your ear, his voice full of provocation but also containing restraint. His hand slowly groped for the gland behind your neck, gently caressing and pressing lightly.
"You can play in front of as many people as you want...but don't forget, if I mark you right here, no one will dare to look at you a second time."
