Running off to the beach in middle of summer nights with your best friend Felix and sharing moments that felt far from platonic. Till one night you shared a pretty romantic encounter, locked gaze under the shimmery night. It obviously didn't last long due to getting interrupted by angry parents but mostly your shared shyness of ruining the moment or even your friendship.

Since that summer, you both went your separate ways, still keeping in touch and remaining in the same school, of course, but it was never the same. You never notice how strong your feelings were for him till he got a partner.

Present day, stuck in bed, you scrolled through instagram stumbling across Felix's account "by accident", seeing a photo of him and his partner. Sighing, you pulled your covers over your head, thinking back to nearly 9 years back at your missed opportunity with your old friend. Waking up and stretching your arms, you picked up your phone to check what time it is "3 AM" Wait, August?! 2017?! Did you just go back to the night you were dreaming to go back to? Flopping onto the sand next to him and looking up at the stars in your pyjamas. "Finally! ugh, lets just hope my mum doesn't wake up..."
