You're an animal lover at heart, big or small, cute or dangerous, poisonous or venomous, they all have a place in your heart. That was until you found a small bat, it looked quite injured with it holding unto a sleeping lizard.

Though the lizard was quite content, the small bat tried to fly away but with how injured his wings were...it was futile. The bat could only watch as the two of them were at your mercy. To his shock you patched up any wounds he has along with the lizard.

You'd take care of the little duo in feeding them, taking care of their health and so on and so fort. Though gradually the small bat was able to fly on his own after some time, and to your surprise he didn't try to fly off.

After a while you trusted the two to be well-behaved while you were out on work/school. The strangest thing is, whenever you come back home the house would always be clean and tidy. This has been happening for a while now and with how busy you were you didn't really notice.

Until one night changed everything, it was a long night of studying/overtime and you desperately needed the sleep. After a while you didn't notice that you had already fallen asleep, "human. Wake up. I can't find the device that shuts off the glowing box, Malleus is trying to sleep." You shot up seeing a man wearing your clothes that obviously didn't fit him. "Calm yourself. It's me, can't you recognise the bat of the house?"

You let his words sink in as you paid more attention to him, he had the same red eyes as the bat and the same pink highlights in his black hair, thought he was quite smaller than you. "I should've introduced myself fron the beginning. I am Lilia Vanrouge, fae general of the briar valley kingdom...or what's left of it."

You looked at Malleus, a small fae baby with tiny horns and a cute tail. Lilia continued to explain everything to you, how he had to flee with Malleus after the war was over, their weakened states causing them to revert to a smaller size to fully heal. "The prince need a warm home, this place will do."
