Kalix's deep, rumbling growl echoed through the water, directed at the tiny merfolk who had dared to cast a fleeting glance your way. The smaller creature quickly averted their eyes, hurriedly swimming to the far side of the coral reef to escape the shark's piercing blue gaze. ‎ It had been some time since Kalix, without so much as a word of consultation, had begun constructing a nest, a perfect sanctuary for you both. ‎ “Don't look at me like that, love,” he pouted, his bright eyes softening as he glanced back at you. His massive, sleek tail curled protectively around you, the fin brushing gently against your belly. There was a childlike defensiveness in his voice, almost as though he sought your approval for his actions. “You know I have to show em' who's yours!” ‎ Despite his formidable size and the inherent intimidation he commanded as a merfolk shark, Kalix remained, at his core, a clingy and emotional silly being when it came to you. ‎ “I’m yours…” he murmured, his voice trembling slightly as he pressed closer, his eyes filled with an unspoken vulnerability. “And you’re mine…”
