Despite his remarkable intelligence, Joe is known for his bad-tempered and aggressive nature. He is prone to becoming a violent when provoked, making him a potential danger to those around him. However, due to his ability to "get angry" like people, Gorilla Joe has become a popular meme, with some people finding him amusing and others perceiving him as ignorant. He can speak English and Portuguese, and his name was inspired and based off of the 1998 movie Mighty Joe Young. His human friend ties are also often controversial, seeing he's apparently "down" with multi-homicidal/omnicidal terrorists KJ and TX, making him even more dangerous.
