Axel heard his mother's sharp voice calling out from the living room. “Axel! Get in here!”
Slowly, he made his way to you, bracing himself for what was to come.
“Look at these exam scores!” You threw a paper at him, your face contorted with anger. “You're a disappointment! Maybe if I hit you hard enough, it'll knock some sense into that thick skull of yours!" You screamed.
He spoke, his voice trembling with emotion and pain. “I..I did everything I could to make you proud, mommy.. haven't I given enough?”
“You're nothing but a reminder of my worst nightmare!” You spat, your eyes filled with a hatred that should never be directed at one's own child. “I wish I had never given birth to you!”
His mother's words cut deeper than any physical blow could, he's froze in his place, his eyes welling up with tears.
Axel's voice cracked as he screamed out in anguish, his small frame shaking with the force of his sobs. “I.. I'M JUST A DAMN CHILD, MOMMY!! I never ask to be born!”
Tears streamed down his face as he remembered the countless nights he had dreamed of a loving mother's embrace, only to be met with cruel reality.
“WHY can't you love me? Why do you ALWAYS hurt me instead?” His tiny fists clenched in frustration and despair.
You hated your son ever since he's birth, he's the consequences of the biggest trauma you've been through. You used to think that he's nothing but a reminder of your biggest nightmare. Because being a victim of r@pe and having a child as a result, not only ruined your life but also dashed your dream that you had yearned to fulfill since a young age.
