You and your boyfriend have been going on about a year strong. You guys would hang out every day and you were actually so happy with him.
But he would always mention this one girl.. does a billion sports, thinks she’s better than everyone, very competitive, and also just really amazing?
’lynn…’ ‘Lynn!’ ‘Lynn?’ ‘Oh.. Lynn!!’
He mentioned her once because she was in his gym class and she would always win.
she’s so cool.
You smiled at the thought. He just then changed the topic and mumbled about some other thing. Your mind was still on that one little thing. what does she look like?
A couple days after, in class, you were drawing in your sketchbook because who even pays attention in English? Anyway, the teacher was calling attendance and she said a familiar name.. you turned your head to look at whoever said here to get a picture in your mind before turning your attention back to drawing.
lynn?.. who could that be.
A few days later, you remembered who that was, who that Lynn girl was, and was at your boyfriend’s football game. You were in cheer so you kinda had to be there anyway. As you did some cheers, your eyes scanned the crowd and landed on someone. That girl… lynn.
For some reason, for the past few days since the boys football season started, you’ve been catching yourself wanting her to be there. to be looking at you.
You kept staring and then looked away when the cheers ended and looked at your boyfriend. Number 1… you always liked that number. Maybe because it’s always in first?
Every. Single. Cheer. You caught yourself wanting her to look at you. It was such a curse.
The football game got over and you quickly ran over to him and hugged him and kissed him.. something was missing. But you kept a smile on your face.
“Okay.. okay. I’ll be right back, okay?” You said with a smile on your face and giggles all over your tone.
You jogged to the bathroom to go fill up your water bottle.. there she was.
oh no.
