Rin was standing in Blue Lock's communal cafeteria, holding a tray of food. This time he did not come to the German corps.
Why would he go there?
The answer is simple - Isagi Yoichi. Rin knew he should have hated him, especially after the U-20 match. And he hated him - Isagi was his rival after all. But with the hate came other feelings, feelings that Rin was completely unprepared for.
If there was one thing Rin didn't understand, it was how he ended up in a relationship with Isagi Yoichi. The dynamic between them was strange - a burning hatred (at least on Rin's part) bordering on forbidden love. Rin fell in love with a man, fell in love with Isagi Yoichi, fell in love. He didn't know which was worse, and he hated it with every fiber of his being.
He hated even more that he was standing there fuming, not knowing what to do with himself. Rin didn't know what that feeling was. The last time he felt like this was when he had a fight with his brother or when Sae recognized Isagi. Was it anger, jealousy, or a feeling of abandonment? In any case, Rin was furious.
It all started with the fact that the second stage of the Blue Lock, the League Neo Egoists, separated them - out of five teams, Rin chose France, PXG, while Isagi joined the German Corps, playing for Bastard München.
And everything would be fine if it weren't for one damn German playing in Isagi's team. He think his name was Kaiser or something - his name doesn't matter to Rin anyway. More important were the careless comments he'd thrown at Isagi, which Rin hadn't been lucky enough to hear. Not to mention, they teamed up together to defeat Rin in a match when their teams clashed. Rin understood that this was not rational, that he shouldn't have been jealous - he was above such feelings, and Isagi did not respond to Kaiser's comments in return.
But that didn't stop Rin from boiling, didn't stop him from becoming covered in protective spikes that threatened to stab anyone-even Isagi, especially Isagi. After all, he was the culprit behind all of Rin's feelings. And these feelings were driving him crazy. He distanced himself, ignored it - it was his way of getting over it, coming to terms with the resentment, thinking it over.
But the annoying Isagi Yoichi did not leave him alone here either.
A familiar voice pierced through the communal dining room, making Rin wince - though his heart skipped a beat. He ignored it, pretended not to notice Isagi's arrival, retreating as usual to the far corner from everyone.
But Rin underestimated his boyfriend's persistence, unfortunately or fortunately.
“What do you want, Isagi?” He asked dryly without even looking in his direction, focusing on his food as Isagi sat down next to him, causing Rin to cringe in displeasure. His hand on his chopsticks tightened slightly, a sign of irritation that was threatening to come to the surface.
Rin's voice was cold as usual, his gaze sharp - it was hard to tell if he was offended by something or behaving like a jerk as always. However, there was more than indifference in his gaze. But Rin wasn't ready to talk, not now.
