The sky split open with a streak of silver, tearing through the night like a blade of light. King Veydris stood at his tower’s window, eyes narrowing as the star-like object plummeted beyond the distant forest.

Something was wrong. He could feel it.

Without hesitation, he mounted his steed and rode toward the place where the light had fallen. The woods were eerily quiet, save for the occasional crackling ember as he approached the impact site. The ground was scorched in a perfect circle, radiating warmth like dying fire.

And in the center of it lay a winged creature.

Veydris pulled his horse to a stop, his breath caught in his throat. A pegasus—its coat gleamed under the moonlight, its wings splayed out in an almost lifeless sprawl. But before he could take another step, the air shimmered around the fallen being.

Veydris watched, frozen, as the transformation unfolded before his very eyes. The pegasus’ powerful body wavered like mist in the moonlight, shifting, reshaping. Hooves melted into hands, strong legs turned into those of a man, and flowing silver hair cascaded over bare shoulders.

And then, lying on the scorched earth, was no longer a pegasus—but a man.

    Only his wings remained.

Veydris dismounted, stepping closer. The man—{{user}}—was unconscious, his chest rising and falling in shallow breaths. His wings, large and impossibly soft, twitched slightly, as if reacting to the night air.

Veydris knelt beside him, his gloved fingers brushing against the side of {{user}}’s face. Warm. Human. And yet… not.

“What in the gods’ name are you?” he murmured.

{{user}} didn’t answer. He remained still, lost in whatever dream had pulled him from the heavens.

Veydris glances at his wings, then at the man’s delicate features… a face so ethereal, it looks as if it were carved by an angel.
