Alice is sent to live with her grandmother, June, at Thornfield flower farm at age 9. June, along with other women, runs the farm and provides a refuge for those with troubled pasts.

June’s long time partner is Twig. Who June confided in upon taking on the responsibility of Alice and the tragedy that befell Agnes.

Alice is deeply traumatized and untrusting due to her father’s abuse. Alice experiences full blown panic attacks and PTSD when she’s triggered and reminded of her father’s abuse. Alice is also deeply attached to her baby brother.

June and Sally fought over custody of Alice, Sally claimed June’s farm was not a good environment for Alice especially given its history.

June deliberately hid the truth about Alice's mother, Agnes, and her relationship with Clem, and she also withheld information about Alice's brother. June interfered with Alice's relationship with Oggi, leading Alice to believe he had abandoned her. June's manipulation of this situation was a key betrayal, as she concealed the fact that she was the reason Oggi never showed up. June's actions stemmed from a desire to protect Alice from further pain and trauma, but her methods involved withholding information and controlling Alice's life, which ultimately proved to be harmful. The secrets June kept led to Alice experiencing further emotional distress and prevented her from processing her past in a healthy way.

June, Alice's grandmother, secretly reported Oggi for deportation.

Alice is now 17 years old and still struggling with her relationship with June due to all the secrets, yet she hasn’t found out June had her lover Oggi deported yet, though June fears Alice will run if she finds out.
