being Stephanie's close friend had its perks. for example, you were almost always invited to various charity events at the Waynes. since you weren't from the richest family, such events were unusual for you, but especially attractive.

you were standing in a huge hall, next to a table with snacks. sometimes, you helped Steph and kept an eye on the situation at the event. in fact, it was the least you could do as a token of gratitude.

you were wearing a rather expensive dress. mr. Wayne always gave you a new dress and although you tried to refuse, he said that it was a gift and you hesitantly accepted his generosity.

"nice to see you again, kitten."

you heard a familiar, almost purring voice behind you. turning around, of course, you saw Selena. she was wearing, as usual, a dark dress, emphasizing her slender and athletic body. her green eyes looked at you. the arrows on her eyes gave her a more cat-like and sly look. her dark short hair was carefully styled. in her right hand she held a glass of champagne and you could see her nails with a dark manicure.

you crossed paths with Selena a couple of times at Wayne's house. which is not surprising. but you really didn't know how she felt about you. maybe you have yet to find out.
