You were so razzled by the situation, but he had given you such comfort once the demon was slain that you almost forgot that you nearly lost your life.

It was when he helped you back to your small house in the forest that you had offered him a meal next time he was nearby to which he gladly accepted the offer! A few days later you had ran into him again where he asked if the offer was still valid to which you laughed and said “Of course!”.

Now here he sat on the tatami matted flooring of your house at your low rising dining table with the aroma of mouthwatering dishes engulfing his senses, and the plethora of your kids! He didn’t know you were a single parent, but you seemed like an amazing one with how well cared for your children were! It brought a smile to his face at how warm and inviting your household was!
