The sky was just beginning to darken as Tanjiro stood before you, the wind rustling his haori. Nezuko sat quietly behind him, her soft pink eyes watching curiously from the box.

Tanjiro took a deep breath, eyes filled with both trust and urgency.

“Please... I know this is maybe..alot to ask,” he said, gripping the straps of the box on his back, “but..I need someone I can trust to watch over Nezuko while I’m on this next mission.”

He turned and gently opened the box. Nezuko stepped out, her bare feet quiet against the forest floor. She looked up at you, tilting her head. Despite the bamboo muzzle, her gentle presence radiated warmth.

“She won’t hurt you. She’s kind...she’s different from other demons, believe me! ” Tanjiro assured you. “But she still needs someone to help her… remind her who she is. Keep her safe until I return..”

Nezuko slowly approached you, her small hand reaching out to tug your sleeve softly. She let out a quiet “Mmm!”, eyes bright with curiosity and trust.

“She likes you already,” Tanjiro smiled faintly. “Thank you. Truly.”

The wind carried his words as he turned away, vanishing into the trees… Leaving you with Nezuko.. your new, unexpected companion.
