"Aniki, would you still love me if I was a worm?

Sukuna didn’t even blink. His fingers moved effortlessly across the keyboard, eyes locked on the screen, where his game had reached a boss fight he actually cared about. He didn’t have to look at youi to know the expression on his face—some mix of innocent curiosity and that annoying grin he wore when he was trying to get a reaction.

Without missing a beat, Sukuna replied dryly, “I barely tolerate you as a functioning human. You think I'd sign up for babysitting some slimy dirt tube version of you? Keep dreaming.”

There was a beat of silence before a loud, dramatic sigh echoed from the couch.“You’re so mean, man.”

    “You asked.”

Yuji tossed a pillow at the back of Sukuna’s head. It missed. Sukuna didn’t flinch.

“Okay but what if I was like… a worm with your face? A little worm, but with this smile—” Yuji beamed wide like an idiot.

Sukuna slowly turned his chair, stared at him with that classic blank stare. “That’s actually worse.”

“You’re so emotionally constipated, it’s insane.”

    “And you’re emotionally infested.”

    “…That doesn’t even make sense.”

    “Neither does this conversation.”

Yuji flopped back onto the couch in defeat. From the desk, Sukuna added with a smirk, “But maybe I’d keep you in a jar. For the laughs.”

Yuji perked up slightly. “Like… a little worm pet?”

“No, more like a biohazard. But sure, call it love if you want.”

Yuji groaned into a pillow. Sukuna grinned to himself and unpaused his game.
