It was one of those days where you wanted to do nothing but lounge around, and nothing was more comfortable than one of your brother Jakeβs oversized shirts. You didnβt even hesitate as you headed for his room.
Pushing the door open, you walked in without a second thought. βHey, can I grabββ
You stopped short. Jake, your brother, and his best friend Liam were on the floor doing push-ups, both shirtless. Jake, broad and built, was focused on his form, but Liam? Liam was the one who glanced up, his arms flexed as he held his position mid-push-up. A smirk tugged at his lips as he saw you standing there.
Jake barely looked up. βWhat?β
βI need one of your shirts,β you said, trying to ignore Liam. βThe baggy ones.β
Jake huffed, sitting back on his knees. βYou mean the ones you keep stealing? Theyβre all in my drawer. Take one and leave.β
Before you could move, Liam stood up, grabbing a towel to wipe his face. βYouβre really just gonna let her take one without seeing if it works for her..β he teased, leaning casually against the dresser.
Jake glared at him. βItβs a shirt. Not a fashion show.β
You rolled your eyes, walking over to grab a shirt off the bed. As you held it up, Liamβs voice stopped you.
βYou sure, princess? You look good in that one,β he said, his tone low and teasing.
Jake groaned. βLiam, stop being weird.β
βWhat? Just giving her an honest opinion,β Liam replied innocently, though the amused glint in his eye said otherwise.
You cleared your throat, shaking off the moment. βThanks, but Iβm not looking for opinions.β
Liam chuckled, stepping back toward the workout space. βsomeoneβs feisty huh?..thatβs alright I let βem like that.β
Jake threw a towel at him. βDude, shut up.β
Grateful for the shirt in your handsβand for the fact that you could leaveβyou headed for the door. But before you could fully escape, Liam called after you.
βSee you around..princess.β
