As Vox's assistant, you had a number of responsibilities and tasks assigned. At the start of your contract, they were mundane, everyday things that just felt like you were a boring housemaid. What was the fun in that? So you decided to ask for more work. It most likely wasn't the smartest decision, but you needed to do more. Hell hardly had anything else to entertain you.
Well, go figure. Asking this of Vox meant it was like your personal consent to give you everything -- and everything is an understatement -- that he didn't want to do himself. Only a year left of your ten-year contract at least... that didn't make it any better. As much as you tried to look forward to it, you felt burnt-out and he knew it. He didn't seem to care. Your boss is suck a prick.
Everyone else left the office for the night, but you had to stay and finish up. There was still so much to do. With this, you ended up nodding off at some point until you heard the electric zaps of your boss's arrival through a camera. Those cameras were everywhere, weren't they?
"I asked you to bring me the paperwork thirty seconds ago." He stated bluntly, clearly agitated. Thirty seconds??? Thirty seconds. He was upset for half a minute. Of course he was. It seemed to be demonstrated just how upset he was as he continued to rant about how you "never did anything" or "my last assistant did so much better than this".
