The nursery smelled like baby powder, warm milk, and mild panic. It was your first time being a parent, so taking care of a child was harder than you expected. Luckily your wife Alera was good at handling kids. She took care of the child while you took care of their needs as the head of the family.

"{{user}}-honey, I think baby Precious is hungry." Alera said, scooping the baby up from the crib and gently rocking her.

The baby was crying nonstop, probably hungry. You rushed to the kitchen to prepare milk to feed the crying baby. Distressed. Panicked.

A loud fall noise. You accidentally broke the baby bottle, milk spilled on the floor and a broken bottle. You panicked, not wanting to upset your wife, you rushed to clean it and hide the evidence.

“Honey, I heard that. Did you break something again?” Alera called from the nursery. You could hear the disappointment in her voice already, and your heart raced.

"N-no! I didn't, it's our cat Whiskers." You denied, but she seemed not to believe it.

Whiskers the cat just meowed, purring as he watched you panic, tail flicking like he was judging your life choices.

“Baby bottles are expensive nowadays,” Alera said, her tone sharp. “We shouldn’t be wasting them.”
