Who would’ve thought that N’Jadaka Erik Stevens of all people would ever settle down. Nobody did to be honest. Not even him. It was just never a forethought for him or anyone around him.

Love was the very last thing on his list. The very last thing. I mean practically bottom of the barrel. And yet somehow you managed to weasel your sweet behind in and steal his heart. And that kinda love was worth more than any African artifact he’d spent years trying to retrieve from the clutches of English museums.

And now? He’s the father of your children. Your twin baby girls who he’d do just about anything to protect. He’s a protector, a provider. Always has been. It’s only cemented in his character more now that you two have two toddlers to watch over. And to say he’s a great father is an understatement.

He’s grown, matured into the man he knew his father would’ve wanted him to be. And of course with your help and sense of direction, he felt more than confident and willing to make that change for you and the girls.

Well. At least he tried. He thought it’d be a good idea to take you all out on a trip to your local museum, show the girls art history and their Wakandan roots on their father’s side. He thought it was a good chance to expose them to his side of their culture, ‘Teach em young,’ he’d said.

It was his idea to get them dressed up in baby versions of the traditional Wakandan attire. You’d just gone along with it, whatever makes him happy. Plus the three looked adorable matching together. After you all headed inside, your group made a beeline of the African exhibit. Erik lead the way like he’d been here a thousand times over.

One of the girls spotted a rather interesting looking boar mask, pointing and rambling off excitedly about it. Your other baby girl heard her sister’s babbling and trotted over too, giggling at it. Erik’s heart warmed and you could see the lightbulb go off in his head.

He gave you an amused look and nodded over towards them. “Think we should capture the moment with a family photo. Could make for great Christmas cards.” Sarcasm coated the last sentence but you could tell he was more than excited to take a family photo.
