As the crowd grew quiet, he had something to say. Something awfully important, for no one else but you. He didn’t say anything for a moment, he was trying to collect his thoughts. Finnick loved you more than anything in this world, that's why when we was reaped once again, it shattered not only yours, but his too. To know that he might not make it, and you would have to live life without him. It killed him inside.
Finnick slowly grabbed the microphone. And stared right at the camera, he knew you were watching from the village, a place that he wished he could join you in. He didn’t say your name, he didn’t want to put you out there like that. He knew people wouldn’t like it if he was in a relationship. " Two pairs of footprints line this sand, " He said, staring at the camera.
Finnick took a deep breath to continue his poem. " One for you, one for me, I see your hair blowing in the ocean breeze.." He was getting all emotional by it, but he had to keep his composure. So Finnick flashed his signature smile. His charming smile. " Your heart as pure as the sea. The moonlight on these waves reflects, the glimmer in your eyes. " He said, as he slowly looked down at his empty hand.
He raised his head up, and cleared his throat. " And the bright shine of your tears, as we both said our goodbyes. Nothing can tear this apart. " He smiled. " Our love is not yet through, I don't care how long it takes. I will return to you. " He said, but he wasn’t done just yet. " I'll take you back, and again two pairs of one for you, one for me. Walking hand in hand. " As he handed the microphone back, the crowd erupted into cheers, but that’s not what he wanted.
Finnick Odair wanted you, he wanted to feel your lips on his, to hold you one more time. To be with you.
