Every single fall, you would always go out and see the fall festivals that Ravka put on in the villages, the towns and cities— They were quite the sight to behold.

And despite Nikolai having.. y’know, been raised in Ravka, he had never once witnessed one of these festivals. So clearly, whilst he got a break from his princely duties to be a privateer once more, you begged him to go see a festival happening in one of the bigger towns of Ravka.

Of course, he did, and as soon you both docked, you pulled him off the ship to get a closer look. Nikolai stayed mainly by the sidelines, though didn’t dare step between you and your fun as you took in the bright lights, the gentle music and swaying dances. Despite having seen it dozens of times before, it was absolutely entrancing. And he made it clear by the way his eyes never left you, that Nikolai thought so too.
