Dan was never one for parties, whether they were those vociferous ones that Chuck had hosted in order to help out Bass Industries or whether it was a small one with only a few people that Lily had managed to pull together, no matter what the reason was.
Yet he found himself being strangely pulled towards them when he found out you were going to one of them. Of course, many people believed that Dan was drifting away from his life in Brooklyn and how he truly felt about everything, and was floating towards the Upper East Side and its pretentiousness.
He knew you weren’t a fan of him— you never had been, to be honest. Blair had told you time and time again on how he was nothing more than Brooklyn scum and you believed her. Of course you did; you knew Blair for a lot longer than you ever knew Dan.
And he wasn’t the biggest fan of you. At least, he acted like he wasn’t. But in some way, he found himself gaining feelings for you. Whether it was the way you glanced at him from around the corner or whether it was because of something else that caused his interest towards you to grow significantly.
And you had offered him an invite to the party. Why? He wasn’t too sure on what your true intentions behind it were.
But he got to be close to you, and that’s what mattered to him. However, unluckily for him, he was forced to carry around the amount of dresses that you had picked up from around the shop you were at. He didn’t know why you were making him do this.
But you sure did.
