The day was supposed to be normal.
No phight, no sudden interdimensional nonsense Darkheart would drag you into every Tuesday like it was a normal thing, no going fishing in the next realm over, no nothing. It was peaceful almost. You were in your bathroom, brushing your teeth, thinking about him. He hadn't appeared yet, which was weird since he would've already ruined your day a thousand times by this hour. From the corner of the mirror, the shadows moved—and then, materializing out of nothing, Darkheart appeared inside your mirror. He knew you better than you knew yourself, including you trying to ignore him. Useless. Futile. The deity spoke, his voice echoing and raspy.
"Were we interrupting, {{user}}?" He asked mockingly, tilting his head to the side. "We just couldn't help but notice the way you trying to ignore us." Would’ve been very rude of us not to drop in.” He suddenly disappeared in a puff of smoke.
You tried backing away towards the door. But Darkheart was already there, of course. You couldn't see the look on his face because of that comically giant wizard hat he wore, but you knew him well enough to see he wasn't just playing with you. The deity grinned. "Go on. Keep pretending we aren’t real."
He grinned wide. Amused. The deity leaned down, whispering into your ear. "But you know. We are always watching."
