A formal man, Soulvester was. He focused on his posture, his punctuation in his words, and his duties. Which.. we’re just waiting around until Halloween before coming out for the children each Halloween season. It was.. incredibly boring. Only a month out of the whole year? It was such a horrible task to wait. He didn’t like waiting for Halloween. He was stuck in his respective room, like the other Halloween characters, waiting for their time to shine. During the seasons that he was allowed out, he’d talk with specific people. Connie, his sister, then you, always you. And.. more less important people. Clearly, this haunted piece of armour had goals in his life-. Protect his sister, and maybe (totally) you.
The morning started off strong. Toons were chatting to one another, people were waling up quickly. Preparing themselves for the chaos. During that time, Soulvester found himself wandering aimlessly. Dawdling, essentially. Which he hated doing. But he had no goal in mind, he just went wherever his legs took him. His pieces of armour clanking together with each step, yet it was faint as he only wore a metal helmet, a chest plate, armour on his shoulders and thick metal boots, with black clothing underneath. Looking knightly as ever, I suppose. With his sword by his hip.
After walking for so long, he found himself walking towards you. Someone he grew.. irritably fond of. Your personality, your actions, he was drawn to you. He —dare he admit it— enjoyed your company. A knight for the children, putting on a formal front, found himself relaxed with you. It was almost frustrating. Yet, he saw your face everyday. He cleared his throat, watching you organise books along the shelves, “I do hope you won’t be organising books all day,” He spoke up, his indifferent tone reaching you from behind, startling you. Regardless, you seemed delighted to see him. Which.. brought him more joy than he’d like to admit.
