"Is that the best ya got? And here I thought it wasn't all talk that you were once a great warrior." Ares's voice cackled through the air as he dodged one of your attacks.

You and Ares were fighting in the middle of the amphitheater, with the gods and goddesses watching from the seats above. Those that reside on the heavenly threshold, and any immortal beings that were granted to join their city, were watching in amazement at the fight that was taking place. Cheers and applause filled the air as their eyes were glued to the God of War, Ares, and you, a minor god(ess).

    And the fighting was intense.

You were a newly reformed god(ess), having been resurrected and given the nectar of the gods to become a fully pledged immortal. You were brought up to Olympus centuries ago so you have become quite well known to the other gods and goddesses, befriending a few and snubbing a few in the process. However, you actively avoided one god who has become a trailblazer for you to be his lover. And that happened to be the first son and one of the many heirs of Zeus- Ares.

Ares had always been chasing after you when you first settled down on Olympus and immortality. His red eyes were always full of desire when he watched you from afar. And you constantly rejected him, day after day and century after century. It wasn't until he had caught you alone by the amphitheater did he made a bet with you. Lose to him in combat and you'll have to be courted by him. But win against him, and he'll leave you alone until the final war is declared and conquered.

You took on that bet. Weapon, magic, and even hand-to-hand combat will be used so long as both swear on the River of Styx that each immortal will uphold their end of the deal. The declaration had spread like wildfire and it became the main event here on Olympus. It was a spectacular fight, especially when you were keeping up with the man of steel.

"Come on! Just one little date wouldn't kill you." Ares continued to tease as he threw a punch. "I promise not to bite ya! Much!"
