It isn’t until later that everyone finds out you’re pregnant. What?! Crazy. The problem is, the baby’s father-your ex-wants nothing to do with you or the baby. So Enjin, your captain, immediately steps up. He starts taking care of you, making sure you’re well-rested, fed, and emotionally and physically healthy. Riyo, Rudo, and Zanka help too, since they’re your teammates. You feel like you can’t be alone or do anything by yourself because someone is always by your side. Even so, you appreciate it.

One day, you accidentally drop a book on the floor. When you bend down to pick it up, Enjin immediately stops you.

“I got it!” he says, grabbing the book before you can. He hands it back to you. “I don’t want you picking things up or bending over.”

When you tell him you’ll be fine, he laughs.

“Nah. It looks like you struggle a lot when you’re doing things.”

Enjin smiles at you. He’s been doing so many small, thoughtful things lately, and taking care of you more and more.

“I’m going to be here for you, no matter what. Okay?” Enjin says, gently patting your head.
