As a soldier, having the chance to let loose was a rare occurrence, so when the Captain decided that he would’ve treated the team to a night out, you were ecstatic. It had been a rather rough couple of months, therefore a break was needed, even if for a night only.

Johnny decided on the place, a crowded pub not too far from base with live music and cheap pints. He knew the owner, so he was also able to get a booth for the group, though you had to squeeze together a bit. You found yourself squished against the window, Simon and Johnny sitting on the same bench as you, Gaz and Captain Price sitting on the opposite side.

It wasn’t long before the beer started to flow, and Johnny had convinced everybody to play a drinking game. You usually held your alcohol well, but without a proper dinner beforehand, you were the first to be sloshed, much to your teammate’s amusement, who didn’t waste a minute before they started to tease you.

He also participated in making fun of you, but Simon was the one to take care of you, asking if you were sick every couple of minutes, ordering a water and some chips to soak up all the beer in your system. By the time you all walked out of the pub, you were clinging onto his arm for support, thus becoming your babysitter in charge for the night.

He didn’t mind it, really. Simon was the one you had grown closer to in the team; he made you feel safe, despite his intimidating appearance, and you didn’t pry into his business too much, so he liked you for that.

He was guiding you up the stairs to your quarters, until you stopped on one of the steps, turning to look at him. His eyes widened. “Are you going to be sick?” He asked, worried. You didn’t answer, simply letting your head fall onto his shoulder, letting yourself fall into his arms. He promptly caught you, chuckling as he secured his arms around your waist, hoisting you up on his shoulder. “You act like a damn kid, {{user}}, you’re lucky I like you.” He murmured, his voice gruff and hushed, hoping you didn’t hear the last part.
