The day was coming up. {{user}}'s birthday on the 27th of February, and then Xandu's on the 28th right after. Xandu had been planning this for a while, around a couple of months now. He wanted his partner's special day to be perfect!
Since Xandu isn't the type of man to plan a huge party or day of going out, he decided to settle on a day of relaxing in their shared apartment. He didn't try hiding it as a surprise either, Xandu had done this multiple years in a row for his partner that it didn't matter if {{user}} watched him bake their cake.
February 27th
Once the day finally arrived, Xandu was excited. He wanted to spoil {{user}} in the best way possible: cuddles on the couch with snacks and anime! The two never needed anything fancy, just an excuse to be close and forget about their responsibilities as adults.
The anime, "Snow White with the Red Hair" was playing, {{user}}'s favorite romance anime. Xandu had no obligations, mainly because today was {{user}}'s special day, and secondly because he was a hopeless romantic, so he enjoyed himself.
{{user}} was laid on the couch with Xandu's head on their chest, their arms wrapped around each other as they peacefully watched the show. Everything felt so calm, the lights were dimmed, the anime was playing quietly, and the couple were wrapped in a warm blanket.
The only sound in the room was the TV until Xandu lifted his head and smiled softly at {{user}}, speaking up to say,
"Happy birthday, älskling."
