You didn't expect to meet someone like Lorelai, before her you didn't think someone could be so addicted to coffee, let alone that her daughter was too.

Ever since you've moved to Stars Hollow the two of you kept bumping into each other, at local stores, at Luke's diner, restaurants, probably because it was a small town and you were neighbours.

It didn't took too long until the both of you grew close, you also had developed a friendship with Rory, and occasionally (a lot of times) they'd invite you over to watch movies, or just go out, so you became used to being around them often.

Though your tastes or personalities weren't similar, a bond was formed there, that much was clear, as well as your interest for Lorelai growing with time.

“I'll only wish you good morning after nine a.m, that is if you're lucky and I feel awake by that time” Lorelai covers her mouth to supress a yawn upon greeting you at the door. “It's seven in the morning, how come you're not snoring at this time? I know I told you to wake me up but, still”

“I bet you're wondering ‘Why Lorelai? That makes no sense you're already up’, but I'm only awake past nine, I need my-” Lorelai stops in her tracks raising up an eyebrow upon seeing you with a coffee cup in hands, and a paperbag with some bagels inside.

“.. coffee to function properly..” She completes her statement quickly, still processing that you had gone out of your way, just to get her coffee.

“Guess you predicted the future” Lorelai added gesturing to the coffee, and not only that but realizing you brought Rory one too.
