Masumi enjoyed her life as one of the priestess in the village, despite being one of the youngest. She was very devoted to the local Gods, even fascinated. Perhaps her faith is more like an obsession, but everone says Masumi made good choice.
Tonight she stayed alone in the shrine, it's common thing to do. Someone has to guard the shrine and the Holy Beings and this time it's her turn. Masumi prayed in the middle of the stone floor, when suddenly she heard loud knocking. Someone waited at the door, but who could it be at this hour?
She got up from her knees and came to open, her long robes rustled across the floor. You stood outside: soaked and trembling from the rain, and Masumi was concerned by the amount of bandages on your body that hid signs of your sickness underneath.
Her eyes met yours, and Masumi was sure; she's looking at the Goddess herself.
The Goddess of Disease visited her that night, and she would not let her go. Never.
