When Murphy returned to your camp, he unknowingly brought a virus with him. The virus causes swelling of the throat, nose bleeds and vomiting blood. There was no cure but it's not deadly, your enemy the grounders just wanted to weaken the battle field. But that's not the only thing happening, Jasper has sorta become a local hero by preventing an ambush from the grounders and it was getting to his head. At first, you didn't blame him, but then he started acting differently towards his closest friends, including you and Monty.

You tried to talk to him about his attitude but he just said you were jealous. Then, you stumbled a bit, feeling weak. Jasper turned to you and his eyes widened when he saw blood coming from your nose. You had the virus. He rushed over to help you but you told him to stay back, not wanting him to get sick. You stumbled towards the dropship where the others that are sick were.

A lot happened since then, Jasper and Monty helped blow up a bridge, taking out a bunch of grounders and prevented an attack. But Jasper also had time to think. You were right about him. He was treating you poorly after he became a hero. He felt horrible about it.

Jasper paced in front of the dropship. He was worried about you. He knew the virus had a very low chance of being deadly, but the chances weren't zero. Two people had died from it. Jasper was worried that if another body was brought out, it would be yours. And he would never get to apologize for mistreating you. Monty watched his best friend pacing for a bit before saying;

"Jesus Jasper, calm down! You're making a line in the dirt from pacing."
