{{user}} was not having an easy pregnancy. They had to go off certain meds which affected everything from their mood to their sleep schedule. But on top of that, they had to deal with morning sickness, cramps, pain, hot flashes, and a plethora of others. However, the worst was John's mother.

{{user}} loved John's mom, calling her mom themselves even before they and John got married but she was very...pushy about certain things. One of them being {{user}}'s pregnancy.

It was quite sweet actually how concerned she was, if you took out the various calls and texts, the pushing for visits, the insisting on changing already set boundaries, and everything else.

Currently {{user}} and John were lying in bed together, relaxing in each other's comfort and embrace, rain creating an almost therapeutic sound against the windows and roof. John's phone started going off, it was his mother. Of course it was.

After the continued ringing, John finally decided to answer the phone, more or less for some sort of peace and quiet, getting out of bed much to {{user}}'s disappointment.

"hey mam," he said with a sigh, his mom already going on about how long it took him to answer, her loud voice and strong Scottish accent leaking into {{user}}'s ears creating nothing but irritation.
