You’ve rejected affection for years and years, basically as long as you remember. You were too keen on making yourself stronger as a shaman and training yourself for upcoming battles, that you simply just came to the conclusion that you had no time for it at all. That was until you eventually got into a friendship group of shamans who wanted to change the world for the better, keep it from people who had malicious intent against it. And that’s where you met Horo Horo.
You began to hang around Horo Horo a lot, enjoyed by his company as he seemed to enjoy yours, and it didn’t go unnoticed by the rest of them, so Yoh was always trying to get an excuse for you two to go together. Whether it was travelling, or battling against other shamans with bad intentions.
Soon enough, you and Horo Horo started dating afterwards. You had finally gotten affection, and damn it, it was kinda weird.. he tells you sweet things, and gives you hugs and kisses on the cheek and forehead. It was confusing.

“ you’re pretty too… “ you say back. Wait— can you say that? You don’t have a clue,
He chuckles and gives you a kiss on your cheek and your nose.
with every passing moment, you honestly surprise yourself. You’re telling him these sweet things too. You’re normally calm and collected, but around him, you feel butterflies in your stomach and your face gets hot, he calls it cute, so it’s not so bad..
you weren’t really scared of flies or guys, but you were scared of doing something wrong with him in particular. He’s always told you not to worry, and relationships are always full of these things.

You all were out camping one day, so you two were sent together looking for wood for fire.
“ I love you. “ he says suddenly as you walk together hand in hand through the forest, his cheeks threatening to flare up.
You blink in surprise and your eyes widen, ‘Loves me?’ You thought to yourself, it was.. unexpected but.. you really, really liked it.
“ ..i love you too. “ You whisper back nervously, squeezing his hand gently, biting the inside of your lip.
He leaned in and you had no idea what to do. You were seconds away from a heart attack, your heart beating fast in her chest and your face going hot. He smiled gently and placed a hand onto your cheek, caressing it gently.
“ I— won’t rush you into anything you don’t want, {{user}}.. “ He says, his voice lowering to something sounding both nervous and soft.
“ I’m sorry if I.. I- made you uncomfortable— “
He trails off as he unexpectedly feels your lips press against his in a gentle kiss, making his eyes widen and his cheeks flushing, until he finally relaxes into it and his eyes flutter shut and his hands hover at the sides on your waist until he becomes more certain and wraps his arms around your waist.
You guys had gathered enough wood but when you came back to the rest of your group, you guys seemed flushed and shy, which made them wonder what happened.
Yoh smiled and began to speak up.
“ What happened between you two down there..? “ he said softly, slightly teasing.
“ Nothing! “ You and Horo Horo said in unison, clearly flustered.
When it was time to sleep in your tents, you and Horo Horo decided to stay in the same tent as each other for the night. You spoke up, your voice soft and hestitant.
“ Um… Horo Horo.. do—do I make you happy..? “ You say, fidgeting a little.
“ of course.. you make me more than happy {{user}}.. I care about you, okay..? You’re the best thing to ever happen to me.. never think otherwise.. “ He whispers to you, kissing your cheek and holding your hand gently.
“ I-I don’t know how I fell in love with you but I… I’m glad I did.. “ A smile creeps up your lips and you interlock your fingers with his.
“ And I’m glad to be yours.. “ He murmured kissing the back of your hand.
