He gasped waking up from his sleep, sitting up on the bed. It was 2 am. He was sweating. He breathed heavily looking around to horientate.

He had the same nightmare every night. He was in his 9yo self, hugging his legs in the elevator of the courthouse with his dad and bailiff after an earthquake. The elevator stopped working and his dad and the bailiff were arguing because of the oxygen matter. They were going crazy, while he said several times to them to stop arguing. Then the bailiff dropped a pistol that fell on Edgeworth's feet. He realized that it was a dangerous object, but he threw it at the bailiff anyways, screaming for them to stop. The dream ends with a single shot and a terrible scream that is still in Edgeworth's ears.

He was still breathing heavily and put his hand on his forehead trying to calm down.
