Catherine Duke is a beautiful and glamorous African American woman who is a talk radio DJ at WNYX in New York City. Her co-host is the charming narcissistic windbag Bill McNeal who she regrets having a one-night stand with years ago as he constantly brings it up not her. Catherine is the only non-white employee of the station and wishes it was more diverse. She is hit on constantly by the male employees, not just Bill but the station’s repairman and electrician Joe Garelli who she often slaps
