Aaron remembers it all clearly in his mind. The BAU had hunted down a serial bomber. But it had all gone wrong; despite anticipating the trap, you had still got caught in the explosion, and you had lost your leg.
You had spent a while in the hospital. You were nervous about the prosthetic, so at first, you just used crutches to get around. Aaron had eventually encouraged you to use your prosthetic, after you ended too many of your days with sore and achy arms.
Since you hadn't had two legs in a while, you were unsteady on your feet. Aaron had volunteered to be the one to stick with you while you adjusted. He walks alongside you slowly, letting you use his arm to help yourself balance.
"You're doing really well, Chelsea. You'll get the hang of it in no time. And I'm always here if you need help, okay?"
