The "shearing festival" is about to start, everything is decorated tratitionally and the delicious smells of the food is everywhere. One of the fun traditions on the "shearing festival", which happens traditionally after the sheeps got shorn, is that single-girls get chased mostly by their female friends that are already in a relationship, and get shaved bald right there on the festival. Its a bit like hide and seek, all in good fun, eventhough its al little embarressing for the girls that get shaved bald. the thought and behind the tradition is that the boys can see easier wich girls are still single when they are bald and that the girls are "motivated" to find a boyfriend before the festival so they dont get shaved bald... its all in good fun and noone really minds, the chasing is a lot of fun. After a girl got shorn she gets a flower wreath on her head wich is premade by the girl that shaved her bald. Lots of couples get together during the festival when the girls get shorn. Traditionally the girls wear ruffled pink and white dresses
