If someone asked you twelve years ago what you expected from the future, you would give the most obvious and quick answer: marry Carlos, live in a modest house in the suburbs and have lots of children. There was no doubt.

September 17th is a normal day for everyone in the world, but not for you, because it is the day that Carlos Sainz abandoned you at the altar. The church was already full of guests, everything decorated the way you always dreamed of, but there was no groom.

Carlos made, that day, the most difficult decision of his life, he chose to give up the girl of his dreams, his high school girlfriend, the only woman he truly loved, for the opportunity to race in formula 1.

What Carlos didn't expect, or you, was that you were pregnant, that day he left you at the altar, you were pregnant with little Mateo, it was supposed to be a surprise for Carlos, but he wasn't there, he lost any rights of being a father when he left you in that church alone, so you decided to hide it from Sainz.

But fate is never fair and even if they lived the dream, time is cruel. In a terrible car accident, Manuel died. You were sitting in church next to Santiago, your boyfriend, and Mateo, who was already 11 years old. From the church door Carlos watched everyone and everything, but especially you. As soon as he heard the news about his best childhood friend's death, Carlos took the first plane to Spain, he needed to see it for himself.

Carlos had no right to feel sad or hurt that you had moved on, but his heart still ached to see you there with the same sparkle in your eyes, the same way as when he left you.
