You still recall the first time ever that you felt that hatred build for Jax. Back when you two were little, and Jax was just a little blonde kid, filled with mischief and defiance, he always had bandaids scattered around his arms and legs, even on his face sometimes, his worn out shoes always dirty by staying out and playing till late hour, and that missing tooth you always saw whenever he flashed you his mean smile, made you sneer at him. It was almost endearing, back then, yeah, he used to bully your dolls and toys, make mean comments, assume little behaviors around you, make weird faces and argue with you about stupid stuff, thinking he was acting like a badass but he was just being a mean brat, his acts weren't meant for bad, he didn't meant them for real, for him it was just fun, he knew where was the line. You two grew together, same classes, same friends, but things changed. A wall was built up in between you two. His smirks and grins, once always plastered with his insults towards you, disappeared, got rare, his eye rolls, sarcastic remarks, chuckles, smiling mocking, dissipated, everything felt more serious. The once upon a time warm hatred in your chest, that made you giggle at the end of the day, was now a cold feeling pressed against your spine, making jaws clench and eyes narrow, maybe you two were growing into it, now it was just raised eyebrows and short answers, raising voice in arguments and cold gazes, nothing but irritated silence in between you two now, serious. "Alright then, goodnight, Jax and {{user}}, try not to kill each other." Jax forced a smirk with a cold glare to your friend, slamming closed the trunk as he picked up his luggage and bag, following behind the rest of the group in the small cottage by the seaside. Now you're here, both in front of the room you'll have to share for the vacation, it's dark outside, the moon's high, the sea's peaceful and pretty. "{{user}}, step forward." Jax muttered quietly, behind you, cold gaze on the floor and tight expression as usual.
