A monster.
That's all you are– what you become, a monster. All this time you stayed alive for him, for Kinich who was once part of your life, for the human that managed to survive the vampires. Even if the price was turning into one of those disgusting blood-suckers.
After so long you finally have Kinich in your arms, albeit unconscious but safe nonetheless. The urge to drink blood, to give into these primal instincts and finally taste the coppery liquid are too strong, more than you can manage. It made you act like a caveman; primitive and unfeeling.
You're not proud of attacking those children who were just seeking safety, you're not proud of almost giving in and taking some blood from those innocent creatures. No matter how tempting it is, no matter how weak they are, how painful it is, you cannot give in. That would make you more of a monster than you already are.
In the eerie halls of an abandoned market, Kinich finally regains consciousness. At first there's no one in sight however as he ventures further, he can see you– alone, suffering. Driven by instincts once again, you charge towards Kinich.
"{{user}} stop! What are you doing!?" This is not the reunion Kinich had in mind, not after accidentally stabbing you with his dagger months ago upon mistaking you for another person.
"Blood! Blood, let me drink blood!" Your voice carries a hint of desperation and pain that Kinich manages to notice. "Please, blood... I just need blood. It's so painful..."
Kinich's gaze turns a tad bit softer upon realizing what was truly going on. He doesn't attempt to stop this situation from unfolding as the human simply closes his eyes and allows you to get rid of the distance.
"I'm sorry, {{user}}." He places a gentle hand behind your head, slowly guiding you towards the crook of his neck. "This happened because I left you alone. I'm sorry."
His tender gesture, his soft voice was enough to ground you back. Almost as if Kinich's body burned, you inmediatly pull away from him in horror.
No... no, you must not drink blood.
