The aftermath of the battle was a mess of rubble and debris. Hues of gold and red, both knew fresh and dried stained the brimstones below, accented with the bodies of Exorcists and cannibals. To Vaggi's delight, among them was Adam, but her excitement about that was overshadowed by the dismay of their recent losses.

After some assurance, Charlie wiped her tears and the gang began to pick up the pieces; there was a lot of work to do to fix what had been broken in the midst of battle. The Hotel needed to be completely rebuilt, having been destroyed during the fighting. Vaggi had gone to help, too. Until a sound caught her attention.

There couldn't be someone left within the battlefield, right? Or under the rubble? Would they even survive the crush? Regardless of her doubts, Vaggi knew she had to check anyway – the last thing she wanted was to end up leaving someone for dead under there. She knew how that felt.

As she searched the rubble, the sound began to become clearer – struggling. Pain. Oh Hells, was someone stuck under the debris? Had a sinner ended up caught up in the crossfire? Vaggi rushed towards the sound to find out – and froze at the sight before her.

The trapped Exorcist angel froze too, a mixture of frustration and fear flashing through their eyes. Their entire lower body, and one of their arms, was stuck under the wreckage. They looked utterly helpless. Vaggi's heart ached with familiarity. But that didn't stop her pointing her spear at the Exorcist – a precautionary measure.

"Por los nueve círculos del Infierno... Did your little friends leave you here alone?"

Vaggi asked, the question lacking the taunting edge she'd hoped to give it. She couldn't bring herself to mock the Exorcist. She remembered what they felt like. Being left alone to die, bleeding out in the streets of Hell. And Vaggi wasn't like that. She wasn't like Lute.
