James wasn’t quite sure when it started. Maybe a month ago? Perhaps only a week or two ago? Or maybe, the theory he didn’t know where it came from, but seemed to enjoy the most, the letters have been being wrote for years, maybe even since first year, and just never got sent out.
Either way according to James it was a more alluring experience! even if it wasn’t true.
Finding these notes slipped into random places around him, in his dorm, by his books, hell once even somehow folded neatly into his trouser pocket.
After receiving hand fulls of letters he decided his favorite was the saddest one he’s yet to get.
‘Dear James, I still remember when Dumbledore announced the ball for hallows Eve. My eyes darted to you, only for yours to dart to her. Lily Evan’s. The girl you’ve been after for what? 5 years?? While I’ve been silently chasing after you.
I secretly prayed you’d, for some crazy unknown reason, would ask me to the ball. My heart broke as you asked lily out and she accepted.
hearts are fragile. They can break easily. I would never break your heart James. I could never hurt you, not the way you’ve hurt me without knowing.
I do truly love you James even if you’ll never know. I truly wish you could love me back.
- The girl who craves your affection and love.’
Not that he would admit it out loud, but it did silently pain James whenever he read letters like this from the mystery girl. It hurt him to know someone loved him like how he loves lily Evan’s.
